To us it means working closely with our hotels, internal Wyndham Hotels & Resorts brand teams and world-class suppliers to deliver low costs on high quality products and services, provide easy access to brand standards and integrity in the supplier selection and management process. We continue to build our Strategic Sourcing organisation to reflect these goals and deliver best-in-class procurement programmes to our properties.
We take the supplier selection process very seriously. We are continuously evaluating what we do and how we do it to ensure negotiated deals are not only competitive but deliver the highest value possible, foster the values of supplier diversity and sustainability.
Many factors are assessed before a supplier is selected for a specific product or service category. Key criteria include supply chain stability, economics, number of quality tiers offered, warranties, durability/life cycle and overall brand strength.
The rigorous product testing and assessment that’s built into our selection process ensures our hotels have access to higher quality products at the lowest possible prices. Selected suppliers are also required to meet minimum quality standards and must have hospitality designed testing programmes of their own.
